The Lubec Historical Society & Museum is housed in the former Columbian Packing Co. store  built in the early 1900's.  The museum has an extensive collection of artifacts from the sardine industry, boat building,  farming, military, schools, etc.  We have several rooms hosting different displays, including a newly built room featuring:  
  • * 1900's town watering trough 
  • * 1831 Grimbeauval  Field Cannon "fully restorred" (only two          known to be in existance)
  • * Water cannon that was on the roof of the Peacock's factory
  • *"Channel" Lighthouse Bell aka the Sparkplug
  •  *Vintage photograph's of ships built in Lubec - Colson's Boat Yard
  • * Log books of ship wrecks & factory memrobellia
  • * Vintage clothing, furniture & a complete 1940's barber shop
  • * Elementary & high schools photos from late 1800's forward 
  • * Antique farm & fishing tools, extensive records of military    service by men & wome of Lubec from Civil War forward
  • * Genealogy records - births, deaths, marriages, cemetaries
  • * Antique hand made family quilts from Lubec
  • ​* Complete 1900's replica of a country store & much more on display
