On the right of this page are pictures of our building with our new room addition to house the town cannon, watering trough, gold from seawater mechanical display and other artifacts. We are deeply appreciative to our member volunteers who worked countless hours for over a year to complete this project. Additional upgrades to the building were a handicap ramp, new windows/doors, and new flooring in 3 of the 5 rooms in the museum.
The Historical Society & Museum is housed in the former Columbian Packing Co. store built in the early 1900's. Our museum houses an extensive collection of artifacts from the sardine industry, boat building, farming, military, schools, etc. We have five rooms of displays depicting all aspects of life in Lubec from the 1800's.
